Instructor Trainer Certifications
US Sailing offers certification courses and course apprentice opportunities for certified instructors and coaches to run Instructor Courses of their own. Courses range from 4 days to 5 days, and are usually scheduled once per year. If you are considering getting certified as an Instructor Trainer (IT) or Coach Trainer (CT), please read the course requirements carefully before applying. Applications for IT or CT status are reviewed by committee, and not all applicants will be accepted (read about the selection process ).
