Challenge examinations

The Certification Series is based on a series of levels reflecting the natural progression of experience. All Certifications require certification training courses. However, a certification candidate with appropriate experience and competency may challenge for the Basic Powerboat Cruising Certification, the Inshore Powerboat Cruising Certification and/or the Night Operation Endorsement by successfully completing the written and practical skills examinations for that Certification. These examinations are conducted by a US SAILING / US Powerboating Cruising Powerboat Instructor in accordance with the program standards. For further information contact us or a program or school that offers The Certification Series for cruising powerboats.

The Cruising Powerboat Instructor Certification cannot be challenged.
